Market value: $345,000! CBP seizes another batch of Chinese goods!

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, recently at an express shipping center in Louisville, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials seized 230 counterfeit championship rings from China.

According to reports, 230 rings will be shipped to a home in Wesley Chappell, Florida, including 10 Milwaukee Bucks NBA championship rings, 30 Tampa Bay Buccaneers "Super Bowl" championship rings, 80 Kansas City Chiefs "Super Bowl" championship rings and 110 Atlanta Braves World Series championship rings.

CBP experts said the counterfeit rings violated intellectual property and trademarks and that there were no licenses to import such goods into the United States.

It is understood that if these 230 rings are real, their selling price will be as high as 345,000 US dollars.

"Counterfeit jewelry continues to flood the U.S. e-commerce market, and these rings are primarily targeted at two groups of people: collectors and fans," said LaFonda D. Sutton-Burke, Director of Field Operations. "Thankfully, CBP officers are very experienced in combating counterfeit products and were able to seize these items in one fell swoop."

It is reported that in 2021, CBP seized a total of $9 million worth of "counterfeit products." CBP said it will be committed to combating the import of counterfeit goods to prevent them from undermining the U.S. economy and threatening the health and safety of citizens.
