Shopify launches new tool "Linkpop"! Increasing investment in social e-commerce!

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, Shopify recently announced the launch of a new tool "Linkpop", which will help Shopify merchants sell products on social media.

It is reported that currently, "Linkpop" only has an English version, which supports merchants to create a link on social platforms, allowing consumers to purchase related products by clicking on the link without jumping to Amazon stores or other independent sites.

The report said that the tool is free for everyone to try, but shopping links are only available to Shopify merchants. When using it, merchants can connect to their Shopify stores through Linkpop and fill in product links on Linkpop, up to 200, including products, services, websites, articles, videos, and even playlists or podcasts.

Since all products will be displayed on Linkpop, consumers' purchasing activities will become simpler and can be purchased directly from smartphones or tablets. In addition, the checkout experience through Linkpop is also fast and secure. It is worth noting that Linkpop also allows merchants to understand buyers' shopping behavior through its free built-in analysis tools and obtain buyers' purchase and search trends.

It is understood that the launch of Linkpop means that Shopify is increasing its investment in social e-commerce to compete with TikTok, Instagram and Facebook for market share.

It is reported that as of December 2021, there are more than 50 million content creators, influencers, bloggers and videographers active on social media worldwide, building sales businesses through community and business tools, increasing the content creation market size to 104.2 billion.

Paolo Picazio, head of Shopify, said that global e-commerce sales are expected to triple by 2025. For content creators, Linkpop will become one of the important tools for selling on social media.
