According to foreign media reports, the Canadian Ministry of Health recently announced the recall of three products sold at Costco, Dollarama and Amazon, involving lamps and supplements. The Canadian Ministry of Health warned consumers to stop using the problematic products and not to purchase them. The first case reportedly involves Camp brand oil lamps, which have a metal frame, a clear glass globe, an adjustable wick, and are available in black, blue, or red. They are sold at Dollarama and have a Universal Product Code (UPC) of 14-3080923 or 667888386420. Health Canada said the lamp violates the labeling and child-resistant packaging requirements of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001, and that young children could accidentally come into contact with the product and ingest it, resulting in serious illness, injury or death. It is understood that a total of 47,025 of these oil lamps were sold in Canada from February 2020 to May 2022. At present, the Canadian Ministry of Health has received an accident report. Another recall involves the M2R Pro and Warrior Mini flashlights sold at Amazon and Costco. The M2R Pro measures approximately 5.37 inches by 1.16 inches (length by width) and is available in black, camo, desert tan, OD green, gunmetal gray, orange, blue, ocean camo, purple, and white. The Warrior Mini measures approximately 4.19 inches by 0.91 inches and is available in black, desert tan, camo, spring 2 Ti, summer 2 Ti, fall 2 Ti, winter 2 Ti, timeless 2 Cu, and red. Health Canada warns that these flashlights may trigger their own switches when placed in a holster or pocket, causing the product to overheat and pose a burn risk to consumers. Currently, a total of 6,579 of these flashlights have been sold in Canada. As of April 19, 2022, Health Canada has received 6 incident reports. The third involves a probiotic fiber supplement sold at Costco, product number 1597539. The reason for the recall is that some product batches may contain active ingredients that exceed the labeled dosage, posing a health risk to users. The following are the affected batches and other related information: Health Canada advises the public to stop using the supplements involved and consult a healthcare professional if any health problems arise. At the same time, if other unauthorized healthcare products are found, please report them to Health Canada in a timely manner.
