On September 15, George Chiao, president of Shein's US business, said the company plans to build three large distribution centers in the United States to allow customers to receive packages within three to four days. In addition, the company also plans to recruit heavily in the United States in the next few years. It is understood that the new measure will help Shein shorten logistics transportation time. Currently, customers usually receive the goods within 10 to 15 days after purchase. Shein opened its first distribution center in Indiana in April, and is now expanding the center's footprint by 50% to 1.5 million square feet. The company plans to open a 1.8 million square foot distribution center in California in 2023, followed by a third in the Northeastern United States, but the exact date has not been determined. Shein said its growing distribution facilities in Indiana will generate $175 million in local economic impact.
