It is learned that recently, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of B*****L brand vacuum cleaners sold on Amazon, Walmart and other websites because the circuit board in the vacuum cleaner battery pack may overheat and smoke, posing a fire hazard. The recall involves B*****L's cordless multi-surface wet and dry vacuum cleaners, model numbers 2551, 2551W and 25519. The products are made in China and have "B*****L" printed on the bottom. It is learned that the recalled vacuum cleaners were sold in Walmart stores and www.amazon.com, www.bissell.com, www.walmart.com, www.qvc.com, www.costco.com, www.fingerhut.com, www.acehardware.com, www.kohls.com, and www.wayfair.com from January 2019 to November 2022, with a price of approximately US$360. Approximately 61,000 units were sold in the United States and approximately 4,300 units were sold in Canada. So far, B*****L has received 66 reports of vacuum cleaners emitting smoke and burning odors, including 5 reports of battery packs catching fire, 3 reports of minor property damage and 1 report of burns.
