Baby gates sold on eBay and other platforms are recalled by CPSC! Violation of federal safety regulations

It is learned that on October 31, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of Vevor baby gate bars sold by Sanven Technology because of the hazard of pinching.

It is understood that the recalled product is Vevor baby gate. The handle of the product is marked with "Vevor, Tough Tools Half Price" and comes with installation parts. The door can be opened inward and outward, and is made of iron (powder coated) and plastic materials, available in white and black. The product is about 30 inches high and the width can be adjusted from about 29.5 inches to 39 inches.

Between February 2024 and May 2024, about 420 units of the product were sold on eBay, AliExpress and Overstock for about $45. The CPSC said the product violated federal safety regulations and that a child's torso could pass through the gap between the door panel and the side wall, posing a risk of pinching. Sanven Technology has not received any reports of injuries so far.

The CPSC said consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact Sanven Technology for instructions on how to dispose of the product and submit photos to receive a full refund. Sanven Technology is currently contacting all known purchasers directly.
