Nearly 70,000 wall beds sold on Amazon and other platforms have been recalled! 10 injuries have been reported

It is learned that on November 21, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of a wall bed sold by Dorel Home Furnishings due to serious impact and crushing hazards.

The recall involves Dorel full-size and queen-size wall beds sold online under the brands Pinnacle, Paramount, Impressions, Holly Hills and Her Majesty Wall Beds. The products are available in white, light oak, gray oak, dark oak, espresso, walnut and natural, and some come with cabinets and lighting on the bed frame.

Between May 2021 and April 2024, about 69,300 of the products were sold at retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, Target, Wayfair, Overstock, Lowe's, Bed Bath & Beyond and BigLots for about $900.

The CPSC said the wall bed could detach from the wall and fall, posing a serious impact and crushing hazard. Dorel Home Furnishings has received 22 reports of falls, resulting in 10 injuries, including concussions, contusions, cuts and abrasions.

CPSC urges consumers to immediately stop using the recalled wall beds and contact Dorel for information about coordinating a reimbursable professional inspection and reinstallation.
