Due to issues with FBA during this period and the fact that sellers are afraid to ship large quantities of goods overseas, many mask sellers have shipped hundreds of orders themselves, and a large proportion of them use small packages as a means of transportation.

If it is true as eBay notified that the post office has stopped collecting parcels via E-Packet, then we Amazon sellers will not be able to send small packages either. The impact is horrible!

This is a serious matter, so I did some preliminary verification for everyone and found E-Post's official website directly. In the latest announcement on the official website on the 23rd, there were only a few updates about the local post office suspending delivery and signature due to the serious local epidemic.

I have read the news in recent days. Most of the countries that have suspended delivery are small countries. Among them, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Canada have had the greatest impact on us. Other countries that have not suspended delivery have changed their delivery methods (such as courier signing for the delivery) and significantly extended the delivery time (by more than a week), but there is no news of directly suspending the collection of parcels.

The official WeChat account of the post office was still disseminating various precautions for mailing masks the day before yesterday, including cargo value requirements, packaging requirements, etc.

There is no sign of stopping the small parcel collection in the postal service in the past two days. Then I asked several people in the industry, including freight forwarders and postal customer service staff, and they all said that they had not received such a notice and that the E-mail service was currently collecting parcels normally.

At present, China Post has not released any official information about the complete suspension of E-Post, but it is hard to say whether eBay's official notice is groundless. After all, if eBay really wants to stop picking up parcels, the first to receive the notice will most likely be these large platform partners.

The small package strategy can achieve a very low price to seize the market for masks and other epidemic prevention materials, but if the small package logistics is blocked, this low price will become a loss for yourself!

I suggest that sellers who use the small package method should not worry about whether the product is genuine or not, but find an alternative channel first, or simply increase the price and use express delivery. If the product is in stock now, send it out quickly and wait for further news!

Coupons and Deals that have been created are not affected (but the content cannot be edited) and can still run normally. In addition, Prime exclusive discounts can still be reported.

April 5th is also the day that Amazon stated in its last announcement that it would resume FBA warehousing. It seems that Amazon has no signs of postponing this deadline. We can start promotional activities while resuming warehousing.

Now that non-essential items have stopped entering the warehouse, sellers with insufficient inventory should have closed promotions and even started raising prices to ensure inventory. Disabling promotions has instead dealt a severe blow to sellers who now have sufficient inventory and have launched promotions to grab a wave of market share . Once promotions are stopped, they are basically back to the starting line.
