Amazon mass email ban


Recently, a seller received such an email, the specific content is as follows:


Email Content


Pursuant to Section 3 of the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement, we have deactivated your Amazon seller account . We made this decision after reviewing your account and the information you provided.


What happens if my account is not reactivated? After receiving this notification, you have 90 days to file a valid appeal or choose not to appeal. After that, you can contact [email protected] to request funds. We will conduct an individual investigation to evaluate your account.


Our policies are designed to protect our customers and selling partners. If we discover that you have engaged in deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity ; or have abused our systems ; or have repeatedly violated our policies to protect our customers and selling partners , we may withhold some or all of the funds in your account. We will no longer respond to emails regarding this issue.


 


This is not an isolated case. Many sellers have encountered similar situations and were extremely anxious and urgently sought solutions!



Amazon’s official explanation is that these sellers violated “Section 3 of the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement,” but in reality, the triggering conditions for each seller are different!

Trigger conditions vary


The seller below was triggered during the second review of his account!


 


The other seller is an old account that is waiting to be unblocked!


The general situation is: this seller's Spanish, German, and French sites were blocked due to account association issues, and the German and French sites have appealed back! Because the Spanish seller chose not to acknowledge the association at the beginning, the first email appeal was unsuccessful; later, he acknowledged the association and sent a second email, and received a notice about "violating Article 3 of the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement"! Now the seller is worried that the German and French sites will be implicated!


It seems that Amazon wants to catch all new and old accounts now! So, what is this "Amazon Business Solutions Agreement Section 3"? We found the answer in the backend!

About Section 3 of the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement


This is a provision regarding "Term and Termination", and the specific content is as follows:


We have the right to terminate your use of any service or this Agreement for convenience after 30 days' prior notice. We may immediately suspend or terminate your use of any service if we find any of the following circumstances:


(a) you materially breach this Agreement and fail to remedy the breach within 7 days of receiving the Notice to Cure, unless your breach causes us to be liable to a third party (if your breach causes us to be liable to a third party, we may reasonably determine at our sole discretion to reduce or cancel this Cure Period);


(b) Your account is detected or we identify that your account may be used for fraudulent, false or illegal activities;


(c) Your use of the Services is detrimental to, or we identify that your use of the Services may be detrimental to, the legitimate interests of other sellers, customers, or Amazon. We will immediately notify you of any such termination or suspension by email or other similar means, including through Seller Central, and inform you of the reasons and any means of appeal, unless we reasonably believe that providing this information will hinder an investigation into fraudulent, false, or illegal activities or will enable you to circumvent our protection mechanisms.


It can be seen that as long as there is suspected violation, Section 3 of the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement applies, especially for some common deceptive behaviors!


For example, when registering a new account, if the water and electricity account provided during the second review is fake, such as Photoshopped or made by a service provider, once it is discovered, Amazon will definitely have a legitimate reason to block the account!


In addition, for some old accounts with substantial violations, if the content of the appeal emails is inconsistent, they will also be labeled as "fraud"! Just like the seller mentioned above, who sometimes denies the connection and sometimes admits the connection.

How to unblock?


As for whether these blocked accounts can be restored? So far, no seller has reported to us that their appeal was successful! However, sellers can start from the following points:


1. We can see from the email that sellers have a 90-day effective appeal period. Sellers can collect evidence in their favor and submit it to Amazon!


2. This should be a large-scale spot check by Amazon. I suggest you continue to send emails to Amazon every day to see if anyone at Amazon will actually read your emails.


3. If there is a problem with the second review materials of a new account, sellers should resubmit the materials! In the appeal letter, they should state that it was an unintentional mistake, that they have the strength to do well on Amazon (such as brand, factory, scale), and that they are determined to make amends, and attach some supporting materials (business license, legal person ID card, phone bill, product packaging pictures). In fact, the second review of Amazon has a lot of human factors, so this can help increase the pass rate!
