CPSC recalls multiple over-the-counter drugs! Available on Amazon!

According to foreign media reports, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently announced the recall of PhysiciansCare brand aspirin, extra-strength non-aspirin, extra-strength analgesics, ibuprofen, medication patches and multi-use medicine packs. The reason for the recall is that the packaging of these over-the-counter drugs contains controlled substances such as aspirin, acetaminophen or ibuprofen. According to the requirements of the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA), household drugs must be packaged in child-resistant packaging, otherwise, if young children accidentally ingest them, there will be a risk of poisoning.

According to reports, the recalled drugs were sold on Amazon.com and FSAstore.com from February 2014 to June 2021, with prices ranging from US$5 to US$50, and approximately 165,000 units were sold.

At present, CPSC has not received any reports of accidental ingestion of these drugs. However, CPSC recommends that consumers immediately put the product out of the reach of children and contact the manufacturer Acme United to return the product for a full refund.
