Amazon strikes again! Sellers who fake orders are directly banned!



On Amazon, reviews have a direct impact on the exposure, traffic, ranking and conversion rate of listings , so reviews are very important to sellers. Due to the characteristics of the Amazon platform mechanism, even under Amazon's explicit prohibition, many sellers still take the risk and choose to violate the rules .

 
Last August, the crazy fake order behavior of Chinese sellers attracted the attention of Amazon and alarmed the US police. After that, Amazon began to intensify its crackdown on illegal reviews. Some sellers thought that the storm had passed, but they did not expect a new round of Amazon review warnings to come again .
 

Review warning strikes again!

Recently, some sellers reported that they received warning emails from Amazon because of their reviews. The specific content is as follows:
 
Pursuant to Section 3 of the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement, you have manipulated customer reviews of your products, which is a violation of our policies , which prohibit sellers from providing compensation, including free or discounted products, in exchange for creating, modifying, or posting reviews or community content.

 

From the email, we learned that the seller’s account was suspended and funds were frozen by Amazon because of illegal review. However, according to Amazon’s previous style, it usually sends an email warning first , requiring the seller to admit the mistake, provide evidence of manipulating reviews and promise not to violate the rules again in the future. Why did they directly suspend the seller’s account this time?
 
It is understood that the seller mainly operates the UK site and found the same intermediary to swipe 19 orders during September and October 2020. Later, the buyer came to the seller through the internal message of the site, and the seller learned that the black-hearted intermediary hired a self-supporting account to swipe the orders. On the night of New Year's Eve, the store received a performance notice: Amazon seller account is under review. But because it was New Year's Eve, no one was operating the store, so the best opportunity to appeal was missed .
 

After the resumption of work, the seller, with a try-it attitude, pieced together a letter of complaint from the Internet and sent it to Amazon , but Amazon did not respond. The unwilling seller wrote another letter of complaint and sent it to Amazon, and finally received a reply from Amazon: We have not received your effective action plan to resolve the issue of your manipulation of product reviews on Amazon . Your Amazon seller account has been deactivated.

"I am in the same boat as you. My account was blocked on the morning of New Year's Eve. I received three warning emails before the next block. The first time I submitted an appeal, it was not approved because Amazon said the content submitted was insufficient. The third time, the service provider asked me for more information to continue the appeal. I waited for five days and received another warning. The fourth time I submitted, my account was unblocked."

"I have also received this recently. I don't dare to place fake orders now. The main reason is that the buyer is unreliable. Once something happens to his account, he will expose all the sellers. Gradually, Amazon understands. If there is no response to the appeal, change the template and submit it several times. Recently, many accounts around me have been blocked. I guess many people's accounts have been blocked. There are too many blocked accounts and Amazon can't handle it."


After receiving a review warning letter from Amazon, sellers should start preparing an appeal letter. From the sellers’ sharing above, it is not difficult to find that there are problems with their appeal templates. So how to appeal correctly?
 

How to solve it?


1. At the beginning of the appeal letter, sincerely admit your mistakes to Amazon .


2. Provide evidence in response to the review issues raised by Amazon, including the methods and specific dates of manipulating reviews, as well as relevant information that specifically assisted in manipulating reviews .


3. Then describe the reasons for the error , such as: new employees do not understand Amazon’s specific rules, etc.


4. Then report all existing illegal reviews , their operation methods and specific time, etc.


5. Propose solutions , such as arranging for employees to relearn Amazon’s rules.


6. Finally, express apologies to Amazon and express the importance attached to the illegal reviews.


Although the appeal can solve the evaluation warning this time, it is only a temporary solution . If sellers want to protect their account security, they should not use evaluation to obtain comments to increase product exposure. In the final analysis, if you want to do well on Amazon, you need good products and good operating methods, not touching the red line of Amazon's platform.
