The country encourages exports! Masks are a thing of the past, and the next hit will be...

Recently, masks have become a hot item in the cross-border circle. The most heated discussion among sellers is whether masks can still be sold now? I believe that many sellers have slowly calmed down after reading many analyses. Don't be discouraged, selling masks is not the only way to get rich. This product is likely to emerge suddenly. After all, even the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China encourages exports!

Encourage domestic exports of protective clothing

On the afternoon of March 4, Cao Xuejun, deputy director of the Consumer Goods Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at a press conference of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council that the epidemic has appeared in many countries around the world, and the epidemic is intensifying in some areas, and protective materials are in short supply. China is a major producer of protective clothing. We encourage domestic protective clothing manufacturers to actively meet foreign demand, produce and export according to relevant standards, and contribute to the global fight against the epidemic!

Although the usage rate of protective clothing is not as common as masks, in fact, due to the continuous spread of emergencies, the current supply situation of protective clothing and other medical supplies in the global market is not optimistic.

On March 4, the World Health Organization (WHO) once again warned the world that there will be a shortage and price gouging of medical protective equipment around the world, and required companies and governments in various countries to increase production by 40% .

The recent popularity of masks has led manufacturers in various countries to continuously increase their production capacity. Some time ago, many companies such as BYD and Foxconn set up production lines to continuously increase the supply of masks to cope with the epidemic. In foreign countries, as the epidemic spreads, governments of various countries are also constantly working to increase mask production capacity.

Japanese patented "washi" mask

The latest news, according to foreign media reports, recently, a company in Fukui Prefecture, Japan has developed a cloth mask that combines fiber and "Echizen Washi" technology. This mask will be available for pre-order from March 9th.

It is reported that this mask was jointly developed by Fine Mode, a sewing company in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, and Ishikawa Paper. The outer side of the cloth mask is made of polyester fiber, the inner side is skin-friendly organic cotton cloth, and the middle is a Japanese paper mask pad made of iodine anion exchange resin. The mask can be reused multiple times by replacing the Japanese paper mask pad with deodorizing effect in the cloth mask.

Ishikawa Paper has previously applied for a patent for this special Japanese paper and has produced deodorant pads using it as raw material. It is understood that the combined set of a cloth mask and multiple Japanese paper mask pads is expected to be priced at 1,500 yen.

With the emergence of this type of recycled masks, it is believed that Japan's "mask shortage" problem can be alleviated. In addition, the Japanese government has asked mask manufacturers across the country to work 24 hours a day to increase mask production capacity. Currently , 100 million masks can be produced in a week.

Most importantly, the Japanese government plans to distribute 40 masks to each household! So, for the Japanese people, masks don’t seem to be that popular.

In the United States, where masks are selling like hot cakes, there seems to be a problem: Americans don’t seem to need masks as much as they thought…

This is a picture that has been popular in the circle of friends recently:

Therefore, instead of sticking to the sales of masks, it is better to respond to national policies and sell protective clothing or other protective materials, such as hand sanitizers, disinfectants, thermometers, etc.

When domestic production capacity has met domestic demand, why not expand exports? This can not only make money, but also provide help to the global epidemic. Why not do it?
