Out of stock warning! Amazon's warehouse delivery has become slow!

Time is quickly approaching the second half of 2020. After experiencing various "human sufferings" in the first half of the year, such as inability to ship, skyrocketing freight costs, logistics delays, and goods being snatched, Amazon sellers’ goods have finally broken through numerous barriers and arrived at the warehouse. However, Amazon’s warehousing speed has become very slow, and the sellers are almost on the verge of collapse!

Recently, many sellers have complained that Amazon’s US warehouses are extremely slow in warehousing. They are watching their products running out of stock. They have opened cases with customer service, but the customer service said they have no right to urge them. The sellers are anxious and angry but can do nothing.

The issue of Amazon's warehousing speed also caused heated discussions on the forum. Sellers discussed it and it turned into a "misery competition":

"One shipment showed it was transferred to more than a dozen warehouses. I was vomiting."

"FTW1, it has been more than 10 days since I signed for it, but it is still not on the shelf. There is no stock to sell every day. I feel helpless."

"SMF3, started receiving cases on May 9th. It is still in transit and countless cases have been opened to no avail."

"ONT8, arrived at the warehouse for more than ten days, and it is motionless, completely motionless, not moving at all"

"LAX9, no response after 10 days of signing for the package. Asking customer service is useless. If you ask again, they will add 3 more days."

It is understood that the FTW1 warehouse is located in Dallas, Texas, USA. It is one of the largest warehouses for Amazon to distribute goods. It was newly added in 2016 and is a warehouse that Chinese sellers are often assigned. During the peak season or when logistics are tight, FTW1 is often the most likely to be overwhelmed, and has long been criticized by sellers!

Of course, FTW1 is not the only warehouse that is slow to put products on the shelves! According to statistics: TEB6 warehouse, CHA2 warehouse, SDF8 warehouse, ABE8 warehouse, IND9 warehouse, CLT2 warehouse, all have different degrees of delay. According to sellers' feedback, the fastest time to put products on the shelves is 4 or 5 days, and the slowest time is more than a month!

Regarding the reasons for the slow warehousing speed, some sellers analyzed that the most direct reason is the lack of manpower caused by the epidemic and riots in the United States.

Trucks, UPS, FedEx, overseas warehouses, and Amazon warehouses are short of manpower, resulting in no fleet and no vehicles to pick up containers. Express deliveries cannot be made, overseas warehouses are overwhelmed and goods are piling up. Goods signed for by Amazon are not put on the shelves for a long time, and the probability of rejection of full containers directly entering Amazon warehouses increases.

Another reason is that sales of certain categories on Amazon have skyrocketed recently, such as home furnishings, kitchen supplies and other categories. Sellers have been frantically replenishing stocks, resulting in a surge in the amount of goods in warehouses in some areas. The already understaffed warehouses have been further aggravated, which has led to the delay in putting goods on the shelves.

In addition to Amazon.com, the situation for sellers in Japan is not going well either!

Amazon Japan issued an announcement stating that shipments received by sellers on the Japanese site will be delayed.

It is reported that the reason for the delay in warehousing at Amazon Japan is that the number of deliveries exceeded expectations.

Among them, several operation centers including Jimi Amazon Operation Center (NGO2), Ichikawa Amazon Operation Center (NRT1), and Kyotanabe Amazon Operation Center (KIX5) were affected.

Faced with the situation of slow inventory entry into Amazon warehouses, it is useless for sellers to be anxious. What they can do now is to increase prices and lower advertising bids for products that are about to be out of stock, so as to delay the time of out-of-stock.

Has your shipment been affected? Which warehouse is it in? Please leave a comment in the message area. Let's work together to overcome the difficulties.
