Amazon sellers are wailing bitterly: “The review pit is endless…” It is not just talk that a bad review can overturn the entire listing; on the contrary, a good review can add a lot to the listing. Amazon's Early Reviewer Program (ERP) was officially discontinued on April 20, 2021. How to obtain high-quality reviews is a must for sellers in their operations. Below I will review Amazon's "Review Rules". First, let’s talk about the taboos of getting reviews: Amazon does not allow sellers to use any account to post reviews for products sold by themselves or their competitors, nor does it allow sellers to ask buyers to change or delete negative reviews and only leave positive reviews in an attempt to influence reviews. It is also prohibited to exchange reviews for any form of compensation (including but not limited to money, gift cards, free or discounted products, cash back or compensation, or promises of any other benefits in the future). If you encounter a negative review that may be fake, you can report it using the Report Abuse link next to the review. Product review display format on product detail page 1. Star rating without text Star rating calculation method: When calculating the overall star rating and the percentage determined by star, the system considers how recent the review is and whether the reviewer bought the product on Amazon, and analyzes these reviews to verify the credibility of the review. 2. Star ratings and text (and pictures) reviews After obtaining the product, buyers write descriptive text reviews about the product's appearance, function, quality, and shopping experience from ordering to using the product based on their experience of using the product, the merchant's service attitude, the logistics of product delivery, etc. Note: Even if the product is not purchased on Amazon or from the seller's store, buyers can still comment on the product. However, reviews generated by Amazon's verified purchase behavior will be marked with a clear "Verified Purchase" mark. 3. High-quality Vine reviews with the Vine Voice logo. The Amazon Vine program is an official and secure review channel. Only products that participate in the program will have Vine reviews. Amazon will automatically send emails to buyers to invite them to fill out reviews. Each product can get up to 30 Vine reviews. Product review display range Amazon may share product reviews in reviews for the product’s sub-ASINs and in the “What People in Other Countries Are Saying” section for the same product on Amazon websites in different countries. Sellers should pay attention to product reviews. It is not easy to get high-quality reviews, and it requires control of all links. Amazon is very strict in controlling reviews now, and its bottom line cannot be touched. Sellers can create and optimize product detail pages; participate in review programs and use promotion/sales tools; continuously improve products to enhance shopping experience based on customer reviews and use "buyer voice" to pay attention to buyer satisfaction... All of these can help you get high-quality product reviews. (Source: Cross-border Cloud Classroom) |
