The recent platform environment is terrible. Big sellers are banned and small sellers are trapped! Some sellers even complained that their orders have been cut in half since June! But! Sellers should not be disappointed, July will be a good month for Amazon operations! In addition to Member Day, there is another piece of news that can make sellers happy for two minutes! That is the Biden administration’s announcement: On July 15, a new round of money distribution plan will be launched! Subsidies will be provided to 39 million American families every month, and this subsidy will cover 88% of American children. This is actually a poverty alleviation measure included in the $1.9 trillion new crown relief bill. In addition, the U.S. Treasury Department and the IRS also announced that the Child Tax Credit (CTC) will be implemented on the 15th of each month, allowing families who receive loans through direct deposit to receive subsidies to plan their expenses. For eligible families, children under 6 years old can receive a maximum subsidy of 300 yuan per month, and children 6 years old and above can receive a maximum subsidy of 250 yuan per month. That means in 2021, children aged 6 to 17 can receive a maximum subsidy of $3,000, and children under 6 can receive a maximum subsidy of $3,600, but the specific amount depends on income. Biden also called for extending the significantly increased child tax credit in the American Rescue Plan through 2025 and making it fully refundable permanently. For cross-border sellers, the Biden administration’s money distribution is actually a “good thing.” In March last year, the U.S. government distributed $1,400 to each citizen, which led to a surge in Amazon orders! At that time, the sellers exclaimed, "Wow!", saying that the orders have been growing at a visible rate! I believe that this US relief plan will trigger a new round of explosive orders! In addition to giving money, the US government is also preparing to take action against Amazon! Recently, members of the U.S. House of Representatives introduced five bills on Friday, four of which are aimed at limiting the power of technology giants. A congressional assistant official said this is an antitrust revolution. Of the five bills, two involve tech giants such as Amazon and Alphabet's Google, both of which create a platform for other businesses and then compete with them. Under one of the bills, platforms would have to sell a subsidiary if it provided an advantage to their own products or businesses. If the bill is implemented, Amazon (AMZN) may be forced to split its assets. After all, the fact that Amazon is both a platform and a seller of goods cannot be refuted! The bill also states that if these platforms favor their own products, they will be fined up to 30% of the U.S. revenue of the affected business . If this case is implemented, I believe the living environment of third-party sellers will be much better! I also hope that the platform can consider the interests of third-party sellers from the heart. Only by following the will of the people can we go further. |
