Listing Optimization Four-Five Line Features Bullet Point

Listing Optimization Four-Five Line Features Bullet Point

1. What are the characteristics of the five elements?

The five characteristics are also called Bullet Points, commonly known as short descriptions, which are supplements to the listing. They are special descriptions about the product, size, function, features, differentiated selling points, shipping time, etc.

2. How to write a Bullet Point

1. You can refer to the Amazon template to write.

Type Bullet Point in the background search box and the system will automatically pop up how to write it.

2. A maximum of 1,000 characters can be written per line.

But it is generally recommended to keep it within 200 characters. Descriptions that are too long will look tiring, so it is appropriate to reduce the length for consumers.

3. Understand consumer demand.

A good five-element description should start from the consumer, that is, to do a competitive product analysis. Taking Bluetooth headsets as an example, data surveys are conducted on products with high similarity in different categories, mainly focusing on the good and bad review points of the products. First, exclude reviews suspected of fake orders to ensure the accuracy of the data. Good reviews reflect advantages and consumer demand, while bad reviews reflect demand and pain points that the product has not solved. Based on the comprehensive data, the highest consumer demand is written at the top. For example, if Bluetooth product consumers are most concerned about sound quality, then write the sound quality on the first line, and so on. There can be more in-depth thinking about bad reviews. If the areas that everyone is complaining about can be improved and optimized, then that is a selling point. Jack Ma once said that where there are complaints, there are business opportunities.

4. Parameters + advantages (benefits to consumers).

For example: a 20000mAh portable charger provides the iPhone 7 almost seven times, the Galaxy S6 five times or the iPad mini 4 twice. The 2w mAh battery capacity corresponds to the number of charging times for different models of mobile phones. It's really considerate.

5. If you know your consumers well enough, you can specifically reflect the target group in the description.

For example, if your product is a trekking pole, you could write “Exclusively designed for Mountaineers.”

6. Please make sure to clearly state the five-line description of products sold in bundles.

7. The after-sales guarantee of the product can be stated in the last point.

After-sales guarantee of products is also a question that consumers are very concerned about, so it can be written at the end. Warranty is actually to understand the psychology of consumers. For example, if a product has a two-year warranty, will the customer return the product for compensation after one year and nine months? The answer is that few people will do so. However, it is possible that the long-term warranty of the product will allow consumers to distinguish your product from other "slutty goods".

8. 1-2 keywords can be appropriately embedded in the first two lines.

Considering the keyword layout and the fact that the five lines also have search weight, you can actually embed 1-2 keywords appropriately in the first two lines of description. But remember not to pile them up. After all, the best way to express with words is for consumers to see, so readability is more important than searchability.

3. Notes on Bullet Point Writing

1. Highlight 5 key points of product information, such as size, warranty information, and suitable age.

2. Capitalize the first letter of each Bullet Point;

3. Write in paragraphs, with no punctuation at the end;

4. Character requirements: within 1,000 characters per line;

5. In a Bullet Point, phrases should be separated by semicolons;

6. Dimensional units: such as quarts, inches, feet;

7. Don’t write vague claims. Describe the product’s features and properties as specifically as possible.

8. Do not enter company specific information. This section of the description is only about the product's features.

9. Do not include information about promotions and pricing;

10. Do not include logistics and company information. Amazon’s policy prohibits sellers from filling in relevant information about the company, logistics, and sellers.

4. Rules for writing Bullet Points

1. At the beginning of each line, try to use short keywords to describe the core content and grasp what the customer wants to know most in advance. For example, some customers want to know: What systems are supported? How long is the after-sales service time of the product?

2. The first line must be the most important selling point of the product, that is, solving the biggest pain point of consumers. For example, for a wifi adapter, the most important thing is the network speed. At the beginning, it should say: Up to 600Mbps Wi-Fi speeds on 5GHz (433Mbps) or 2.4GHz (150Mbps) bands.

3. For a newly launched product, you should refer to several well-selling products of your peers to see how their Bullet Points are written. There is no need to code them word by word by yourself (implying that the same parameters can be copied).

4. In addition to reference, you should also pay attention to product parameters. For many products, you need to see if the specific parameters are the same as yours. It is recommended that you must refer to your product manual, specification sheet, packaging drawing, etc.

5. The last line usually contains after-sales guarantee and the like. Of course, if you feel it is unnecessary, you can also write what the packaging includes, but a lot of packaging information is put in the long description.
