FAQ1. What happens if the price of a product registered in the Small and Light program increases to more than $7? Starting May 1, 2020, all products weighing more than 10 ounces or costing more than $7 will move to standard FBA and be subject to FBA fulfillment fees. 2. How are products under the Small and Light Commodity Program displayed to buyers? When customers search for products, the Customer Shipping Promise will display “Free shipping for Prime members by [date].” 3. I don’t offer any promotional discounts, so why do I see promotional discounts on my products? Certain Small and Light products in the consumables category (including beauty, personal health, food, and baby products - excluding apparel) priced $5 or less will receive a 5% price discount when customers order two or more of the same item. The cost of the discount is borne by Fulfillment by Amazon - your payment for the product will not change. No action is required on your part to participate in the promotion. 4. Can I sell products in the Amazon FBA Small and Light program and the standard Amazon FBA program at the same time? Yes. You can have the same product in both FBA Small and Light and standard FBA. If you would like to have a product in both programs, please note that there are different processes for shipping through FBA Small and Light and shipping through standard FBA. For instructions on creating products in both programs, see our Creating products in FBA Small and Light and standard FBA. 5. Can I offer products through the Amazon Logistics Small and Light program and fulfill them myself? Yes. You can use the seller-fulfilled option to fulfill the same product while selling it through the FBA Small and Light program. 6. Can I use existing seller SKUs when shipping Amazon FBA Small and Light products to a fulfillment center? To use a Seller SKU in the Small and Light program, the Seller SKU must be based on a product in FBA. Register your Seller Fulfilled products in the Small and Light program and then convert them to FBA products. If you want to offer products in both Small and Light and the Seller Fulfilled Network, we recommend that you create separate listings for each, so that you have two seller SKUs, one for Small and Light and one for Seller Fulfilled. Use the Inventory Loader to update or create multiple listings. 7. Are existing Amazon FBA products that use manufacturer barcodes for tracking eligible for registration? If you have products that are tracked using manufacturer barcodes, create a new Merchant Fulfilled Seller SKU and register that Seller SKU into Small and Light using the registration page. To help you create a new product, download our step-by-step guide. Once your Seller SKU is successfully registered, our system will automatically convert your Seller SKU to Small and Light. Each product must have a scannable barcode (UPC/EAN/FNSKU) or be individually labeled if no barcode is available or if the barcode applies to multiple products. 8. Can products with an expiration date/shelf life participate in the Small and Light Commodity Program? Yes. Small and Light accepts products with expiration/best-before dates, but not products with temperature requirements (such as chocolate). Small and Light follows standard FBA requirements for inventory with expiration dates. For items shipped to Amazon, the remaining shelf life must be greater than 105 days from the time Amazon receives it. Items with a remaining expiration date/shelf life of less than 50 days will be removed and disposed of by Amazon. Items that are required to be disposed of cannot be returned. When shipping products with expiration dates to Amazon, please ensure that all products in a box have the same expiration date. Multiple units of the same product can be shipped together if all units have the same expiration date and are packaged or bundled together. 9. How do I remove my Small and Light inventory from Amazon’s fulfillment centers? You can remove your Small and Light inventory by creating a removal order in Seller Central, which is the same process as removing standard FBA inventory. Small and Light removal and disposal order fees are the same as standard FBA removal order fees. For more information, see Removing inventory from Amazon fulfillment centers. 10. Can I use the Small and Light Program for products I sell through channels other than Amazon? No. The Small and Light program can only be used to fulfill orders on Amazon. 11. Does the program provide buyer return service? Yes. For Small and Light, Amazon will provide fulfillment and customer service for your orders, including processing customer returns. To learn how Small and Light refunds and reimbursements may affect your account, visit the FBA Customer Return Policy. References
