Founding Origin

Casas Bahia was founded in Sao Paulo, the capital of Brazil, in 1952. It was acquired by Brazil's Grupo Pao de Acucar in 2009 and currently has nearly 600 branches.

Development History

In 1957, the first Casas Bahia store opened in São Caetano do Sul, in the ABC area of ​​São Paulo.

In 1964, the store began selling household appliances.

By 1970, there were already seven branches and the "Baianinho" mascot, coining the slogan "All for you".

In 2011, the logistics model was concentrated in only one distribution center located in Jundiaí, inside São Paulo, considered the largest CD in Latin America.
