CB Scheme Member Countries

So far, there are 66 certification bodies in 51 countries and more than 270 CB laboratories under them participating in this mutual certification system. The member countries participating in the CB system include all major exporting countries of China's electromechanical products, including: Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Britain, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Malaysia, Sweden, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Uruguay, etc.

CB Product Certification Scope

Currently, the B system covers electronic gaming devices, test equipment, power cables, capacitors and components, lighting, household appliances, protection devices, transformers, office and IT equipment, and medical devices, etc., with a total of 14 categories and 180 products. CB Laboratory (BL) is a laboratory accepted by the CB system, authorized by a specific national certification body (NCB) to perform product testing and issue test reports. Manufacturers can obtain CB reports and certificates from the national certification body of any country, and convert them into other safety certificates through the national certification body under the CB system of that country.

Use of CB test certificates

The CB test certificate is known as the "master key to international certification of electrical products". However, the CB certificate is only valid when used together with the CB test report. The certificate holder can directly use the CB certificate and test report to obtain national recognition from other member countries of the CB system.

Validity period of CB test certificate

IECEE does not clearly stipulate the validity period of CB test certificates. However, recognized NCBs (National Certification Bodies) usually object to CB certificates issued for more than three years.

Use of the CB Mark

The CB mark cannot be used directly for commercial promotion of products, such as printing on product packaging. However, the certificate holder can mention the CB test certificate to the purchaser in a business letter to facilitate product sales.

When applying for CB certification, you need to inform the countries to be considered for inclusion in the report so that the corresponding national differences can be taken into account during testing.
