WhiteHat Jr is a children's programming startup, whose parent company is WhiteHat Education Technology Pvt. Ltd. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Mumbai, India, it was founded by Karan Bajaj , a former senior executive of Discovery Communications India .

Service Introduction

WhiteHat Jr is mainly aimed at children aged 6-14 , offering basic programming courses to teach them programming logic, structure, sequence, command and algorithmic thinking. Students can use what they have learned to create creative works such as games, animations and applications. The course fee ranges from 4499 to 19999 rupees (about 65-288 US dollars).

Currently, there are three levels of courses available : beginner, intermediate and advanced. The company claims that children coached by them can use coding skills to create complex games, animations and applications on the spot.

All classes are taught through a live 1 : 1 online platform, connecting 99.9 % certified teachers with children aged 6-14 years old.

At present, WhiteHat Jr platform can provide 500 online courses every day and has about 100 teachers.

Financing

In April 2019 , Indian education technology company WhiteHat Jr announced the completion of a US$ 1.3 million seed round of financing, led by US venture capital firm Nexus Venture Partners and Indian early-stage investment firm Omidyar Network India Advisors .
