What is Amazon Renewed? Amazon Renewed Review

Amazon Renewed is a project launched by Amazon in September 2017 to sell second-hand items. Products sold on Amazon Renewed can be used by previous consumers or products that have been returned after being opened. Such products can be sold on Amazon Renewed after being refurbished by certified suppliers to meet the standards of brand new appearance and normal use.

Amazon Renewed eligibility

1. You need to be able to provide invoices for at least 500 refurbished products, or invoices for refurbished products worth $50,000, and the invoice date must be within 90 days before applying for Amazon Renewed. In addition, products priced at no more than $15 are not counted in the 500 items. You can black out the product name or amount on the invoice in black, just black out one item, don't black out all of them.

2. If you are already a seller on Amazon, your ODR (Order Defect Rate) cannot exceed 0.8%. Also, in the next 90 days, the number of orders cannot be less than 700.

3. If you want to sell factory refurbished products (no manufacturer + warranty), you need to provide at least 8 product samples and packaging pictures (the box containing the product, the internal packaging and filler, and the top and bottom, left and right, and front and back of the product).

4. All certified refurbished products must provide a warranty period of at least 90 days.

5. Refurbished products cannot include Apple and Samsung products, as well as factory refurbished computers (without manufacturer's warranty). In order to improve customer experience, the platform does not accept agents of Apple, Samsung or factory refurbished computers.

Requirements for refurbished products

1. All products sold on Amazon Renewed must be tested and certified to not only look like new, but also work like new.

2. The refurbishment process should include diagnostic testing, replacement of defective parts, thorough cleaning and inspection, and repackaging.

3. Provide the same accessories as new products and a minimum warranty period of 90 days.
