What is Easy Pricing? Easy Pricing Review

Easy Pricing is a new pricing feature that eBay is currently testing.

About Easy Pricing

eBay's "Easy Pricing" sets different reserve prices for products, and the reserve price will not be lower than the initial price set by the seller in "Buy It Now". In addition, this feature is only displayed for long-term listings (30 days).

Sellers included in the new feature test can choose to "turn on the 'Easy Pricing' feature" or "wait for next time."

effect

Easy Pricing monitors your products, and if there is no sales within 10 days after the product is listed, eBay will lower the "Buy It Now" price every 5 days, by 5% each time, until the product is sold or the price drops to the reserve price. After each price reduction, eBay will notify buyers who have viewed the listing but did not place an order to inform them of the product price reduction.

Seller response

1. Sellers complain about eBay’s practice of tampering with prices and automatically lowering product prices.

2. Sellers cannot set the minimum price within their affordable range. Once the product price drops below this minimum price, they will not be able to make any profit.

How to use

1. Sellers can set the initial price of "Buy It Now" higher.

2. Sellers can place advertisements on eBay Promoted listings to drive traffic to their listings.

benefit

1. eBay will regularly notify buyers of price drops for products they have viewed. For consumers who have viewed a listing, nothing is more exciting than finding a product they like and receiving a price drop notification. Sellers can automatically re-attract buyers who have viewed the product but did not place an order.

2. For sellers who sell certain categories of products, they really don't like eBay interfering with product prices. Take collectibles for example. These products usually take a long time to find buyers, but they are sold at full price. For sellers whose products in certain categories are completely unsalable, price reduction is a good way to clear inventory.
