What is a Wireless TELEC Certificate? Wireless TELEC Certificate Review
(1) Technical standards for TELEC certification standards refer to the classification and technical standards of designated radio equipment listed in its online technical regulations compliance certification system. It is worth noting that when these technical standards differ from the technical requirements of the Radio Regulations (Radio Regulatory Commission Rules No. 18), the Radio Regulations shall prevail. (2) Certification types TELEC certification includes test certification and type certification. Test certification is a verification of each device unit, and this certification is only valid for each verified device unit; the test items for WiFi and Bluetooth products are basically similar to the European standard EN300 328. Among them, the standards used for 2.4GHz WiFi products (802.11b/g, 2412~2472 MHz) and Bluetooth products are MIC Notice No.88 Annex43, but for the 14th channel of 2.4GHz WiFi products (Channel 14: 2471 ~ 2497MHz), Annex44 needs to be used separately for testing and reporting, and the corresponding fees also need to be increased. The test standard for 5GHz WiFi products (802.11a, 5180~5320MHz, W52 Band and W53 Band) is Annex45. However, it should be noted that according to the information, MIC will modify Annex45 in the near future to include 5.6GHz devices (Band W56) in Annex45, and the TELEC certificate for headphones and Bluetooth TELEC certificate

(1) TELEC certification standards

The technical standards for certification refer to the classification and technical standards of designated radio equipment listed in its online technical regulations conformity certification system. It is worth noting that when there are differences between these technical standards and the technical requirements of the Radio Regulations (Radio Regulatory Commission Rules No. 18), the Radio Regulations shall prevail.

(2) Authentication type

TELEC certification includes test certification and type certification. Test certification is to verify each equipment unit, and this certification is only valid for each verified equipment unit;

The test items for WiFi and Bluetooth products are basically similar to the European standard EN300 328.

The standards used by 2.4GHz WiFi products (802.11b/g, 2412~2472 MHz) and Bluetooth products are MIC Notice No.88 Annex43. However, for the 14th channel of 2.4GHz WiFi products (Channel 14: 2471 ~ 2497MHz), Annex44 needs to be used separately for testing and reporting, and the corresponding fees also need to be increased.

The test standard followed for 5GHz WiFi products (802.11a, 5180~5320MHz, W52 Band and W53 Band) is Annex45. However, it should be noted that according to information, MIC will modify Annex45 in the near future to include 5.6GHz devices (Band W56) in Annex45, and have more stringent DFS test requirements for Band 56.

2. How much does TELEC certification cost?

The TELEC certification fee channel is related to the frequency band, and the TELEC fee varies for different channel bands.

The wireless channel is what is commonly referred to as the wireless frequency band (in fact, the frequency band includes the channel and is the upper level of the channel). The general network transmission frequency of the network cable is 2.4~2.4835GHz or 5G. In Japan, these frequency bands are divided into 14 channels, but the 14th channel only supports the 802.11b protocol.

For 13-channel products or products with simple functions, please call us for more information.

The 14-channel product is slightly more expensive, please call us for more information.

3. Other costs during TELEC certification period

From application submission to certificate issuance, the TELEC certification cycle generally takes about 4 weeks. In addition, a TELEC certificate can only have a maximum of six models. If there are more than six models, a new certificate is required, the cost is increased, and photos of each model must be provided.

To evaluate the cost of TELEC certification, you still need to have a certain understanding of product communication.

4. Application process for Japanese TELEC certification

(1) Submit the application form to the laboratory, prepare samples, sign the contract and pay the advance payment.

(2) Test and report, preliminary review of materials, time: 2 weeks.

(3) Final review, certification, and the customer pays the balance. Time: 1-2 weeks.
