Five steps to write a unique localized listing

Most Chinese sellers like to directly copy or mix listings of competing products.

The description is almost copied from someone else's title/five points/description.

In my opinion,

This doesn’t count as writing your own listing.

So what should be optimized?

Let me share my experience on how to write a localized and unique listing through five steps.

1:

First find three or five other people’s listings on the platform.

Looking for high sales volume,

If the sales are poor because he is a local seller,

Even if the price is very high, you should still record it and put the title/five points/description in separate documents.


2:

Use the corresponding ASIN to search MW and download the keyword table.

Then continue to search in MW with keywords. This step should leave 100 long or short keywords with relatively large search volume, and then sort them according to search volume. Use these keywords in the final sorting table to search Amazon, record the natural ranking of each competitor listing, whether it has Amazon's Choice, and other information you think is useful.

During the recording process, you will find that some keywords are not highly relevant. Such words are of little significance in the early stages of new products, but you can think about the associated traffic based on this for later use.
There are also some keywords that may not have a large search volume, but the natural ranking of competing products is not very high. In this case, these keywords are suitable for advertising or evaluation in the early stage.

In the way of surrounding the city from the countryside, we first do such long-tail keywords, and then consider keywords with high competition. Because 100 keywords have been found in this process, we can do manual advertising in the advertisement after the new product is launched. According to the degree of competition and the size of the search volume, we can reasonably choose broad/phrase/precise matching, and quickly determine the direction of advertising optimization through orders.


3:

It is better to use the keywords in the table to Google. It is better to search with words with high search volume , which will increase the chance of finding independent sites with high rankings.

After finding an independent site, first determine whether it is a local independent site in the United States. The content of the localized site will be very surprising.

Download product images/descriptions from independent sites based on your own products, because independent sites can rank high because they do better SEO and have a deeper understanding of localized terms/local people's search habits.

The simplest example is that when Americans buy things, the probability of directly searching for shop XXX is very high, and the proportion of buy/order/purchase XXX is very low.

Localized websites can avoid Chinese-style English writing, and there will inevitably be many localized search terms. Using this method, you can get them directly from the product description of the independent website, which is easier than downloading more reviews from Amazon for analysis.

Moreover, due to the problem of fake orders on Amazon, some keywords in reviews may be embedded in the seller’s operations.

Therefore, the selection process is more difficult and takes longer.


4:
Put the title/five points/description into the translation separately and mix them together, focusing on the listing of the independent site, and then adding words about purchase intention on the Amazon platform. Because with the help of translation, you can quickly cut similar content in English together, and then change the order and bury the words. You can also always see some problems with the English expression based on the translation.
For example, if there are spelling errors, English grammar, tense and voice, the use of punctuation marks, and the spaces before and after punctuation marks, if there are any problems, there will be a red line below Google Translate to tell you to correct it.
I have seen many listings, and when I copied them for translation, I saw a lot of horizontal lines below them. This is definitely not something a local seller would do.
Such a listing will most likely require operations in other areas to make up for this natural shortcoming, so if such problems can be avoided, the starting point should be higher.

5:
This step is for SEO.
Because in Google's view, duplicate content is definitely not as valuable as original content.
Similarly, as a true technology giant, Amazon would not like the same content/same listings flooding consumers' eyes.
That’s why Amazon has the mechanism of copy-selling, and there will be penalties for sellers who duplicate products. Duplicate products are nice for sellers because they occupy more space, but for consumers, it’s a world of difference.
So I suggest that every new product listing should be checked for duplication.
As for plagiarism checking tools, just google Plagiarism Checker and find a free one that is roughly usable.
There is no need to check the original listings for duplication. If found, they will be duplicates of your own, or duplicates of others’ copies of yours or your copies of others’. Also, there is a certain risk in changing a listing that performs well. It is recommended that you turn a blind eye.
However, you can check if there are any errors, especially the spacing between punctuation marks, as many friends fall into this category.

6:
At this point, after filtering keywords and localized descriptions, a new listing on Google/Amazon is born.
The first step of the long journey is completed. Everyone has read about the insights and routines of new product gameplay. However, in the process of writing the listing, I have already selected the keywords and arranged them according to the approximate search volume and the difficulty of naturally ranking at the top.
It can be used directly during the new product promotion period to achieve twice the result with half the effort.
