Qualification of sellers and products On the Manage Excess Inventory page, you can see which eligible products Amazon recommends for the clearance program based on customer demand and other factors. The message under the item's current price will show whether the item qualifies for a Clearance Sale (submitted via Create Clearance Sale) or a Clearance Shop (submitted via Create Sale). To be eligible for the Clearance Program, products must: (1) Currently available for sale in an Amazon fulfillment center; (2) Have a sales history on Amazon and a rating of at least 3 stars; (4) comply with Amazon’s Customer Product Review Policy and Pricing Policy; (5) Not registered to join the "Subscribe & Save" program; Amazon operations need to be aware that not all eligible products will receive Amazon's clearance recommendations. Amazon's platform regularly evaluates ASIN eligibility, so the recommended products that sellers see today may not appear the next day. Products launched as "Clearance Promotions" will no longer be eligible for the Clearance Program within 90 days after the promotion ends. Clearance fees are currently free, and sellers operated by Amazon do not need to pay additional fees for clearance, but standard delivery fees and sales commissions will be charged. 3. Create a Clearance Sale (1) From the Inventory drop-down menu in Seller Central, select Inventory Planning, then click the Manage Excess Inventory tab. (2) Select Create Clearance Sale from the drop-down menu to the right of the eligible product. (3) In the pop-up window, enter the clearance price in the box next to Maximum Clearance Price. The price must be less than or equal to the maximum price. Note: The maximum sale price takes into account the lowest price charged by sellers offering new items. The maximum sale price may fluctuate if the current selling price of the product changes before the sale begins. After the sale begins, Amazon may cancel the sale if the product sells for a higher price than the maximum sale price. (4) Check the start and end dates of the clearance sale. If the promotion of the Amazon-operated seller is submitted correctly, the system will display the message [Clearance promotion submitted successfully]. If you see the message [Maximum promotion price is $x], please change the promotion price to be lower than or equal to the maximum promotion price. Note: Not all clearance sales submitted will be approved. Amazon will send an email to the seller if the sale is approved. It is recommended that sellers check the seller's clearance sales report on the Friday after submitting the sale. To find the report, select Fulfillment from the Reports drop-down menu. It will appear in the list under Sales on the left side of the page. Amazon-operated sellers can access the report through the Manage Excess Inventory page by clicking View Status in Clearance Sales Report under the price of the submitted ASIN. 2. Multi-platform distribution While selling on Amazon, you can also publish product links on other cross-border e-commerce platforms to sell goods in bulk. As long as the seller spends more time, if this platform does not place an order, another channel or other platform will place an order, and the cost of overseas warehouses will not be as high as that of Amazon FBA. Products can be shipped through removal orders. 3. Lighting Deals on the site If the inventory of Amazon-operated sellers meets the conditions for flash sales, a clearance sale is the most direct way to quickly clear out the inventory. When selling hot-selling products together with inventory products, it is important to note that they cannot be paired randomly, and there must be a certain connection between the two products. 5. Social media and marketing websites You can use various social media such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc., have some English operation skills and basic SEO promotion knowledge, carefully write product promotion copy, and choose to hang external links on some websites with good traffic base and better traffic generation effect. 6. Find someone to receive the goods and sell them domestically In the past experience of dealing with slow-moving inventory, finding someone to receive the goods for domestic sales is the fastest way to achieve the desired effect, and many domestic buyers have a large gap in their demands. On the premise that the seller has negotiated a good price in China, after signing the contract, the FBA slow-moving inventory can be returned to the warehouse.
