3. Development History

In 2012, EBANX was born, which completely changed the e-commerce market and enabled boleto, a common payment method in Brazil, to be used on cross-border e-commerce international websites.

In 2013, AliExpress began to offer EBANX payment solutions to its Brazilian customers.

In 2014, EBANX has launched operations in five countries (Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru), helping buyers shop online using local payment methods.

In 2015, Airbnb customers also had the option to use EBANX as a payment method for checkout. EBANX reached an incredible 10 million end users.

In 2016, more than 100 cross-border e-commerce websites around the world used EBANX payment solutions, including Wish and Shopify.

In 2017, EBANX began operating in Argentina, allowing Argentine consumers to shop on international websites using local payment methods.
