Billion-level players in the U.S. home furnishing e-commerce industry! In addition to Amazon, there are also these

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, Home Textiles Today, a home furnishing industry research organization, recently announced the top 25 home furnishing online retailers in the United States in 2021, and more and more retailers are expected to enter the "$1 billion club."

According to reports, currently, there are only two retailers in the United States with online home sales exceeding US$1 billion, of which Amazon broke the US$1 billion mark in 2017.

According to the report, the other is the home furnishing shopping platform Bed Bath & Beyond (hereinafter referred to as "BBB"), whose sales also exceeded US$1 billion in 2020. BBB has thus become the second retailer with online soft furnishing sales exceeding US$1 billion.

In 2019, Amazon’s online soft furnishings sales were 13 times that of BBB, with a transaction volume gap of $1.5 billion between the two.

The report pointed out that the next to enter the "$1 billion club" of home furnishing e-commerce will be Overstock and Target.

Overstock's total sales grew 17% in the nine months ended September 30, and the company is on track to continue growing. Overstock has generated a lot of buzz among home furnishing suppliers, which is a positive sign. Assuming that its soft furnishings grow fast enough in the fourth quarter, it will exceed $1 billion in sales this year.

Target moved up in the HTT rankings, jumping from 13th to 5th in online sales in 2020.

Target is $351 million away from reaching the $1 billion mark. If Target's home furnishings sales had grown at the same pace as its overall growth in the first six months of this year, Target would now be a member of the "$1 billion club" of home furnishings e-commerce companies.
