It is learned that according to foreign media reports, on December 29, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (CPSC) announced an emergency recall of 43,200 American Angler electric fillet knives. The reason for the recall is that during the use of the product, the power trigger switch is likely to be stuck in the "on" position, posing a risk of cuts and tears.

It is reported that the recalled product model is 32300, and the serial numbers are AEK-OB-DS-003-1, AEK-OB-DS-008-1, AMK-KM-DS-003-1, and AEK-OB-RB-004-1. The model is printed on the bottom of the product handle, and the serial number is printed on the product packaging. In addition, the words "American Angler" are printed on the handle. It is learned that the recalled products are made in China, and the manufacturer is Weihai Yuanji Outdoor Products Co., Ltd. The importers include Wayne, Scott Fetzer Company, etc. From January 2019 to October 2021, they were sold on Amazon, Walmart, Bass Pro Shops and other stores, with prices ranging from US$110 to US$150.

It is reported that the CPSC has received 23 reports about the trigger switch of the product being stuck "on" during use, and there have been no reports of injuries so far.

CPSC advises consumers to stop using the product immediately, unplug the device, cut the power cord to make it unusable. Then contact the relevant importer, provide them with pictures of the product destruction, and send the delivery address to get a free replacement.
