The "golden time" of the US holiday season is revealed! Black Friday traffic accounts for up to 40%

It is learned that according to the forecast of retail consulting firm Sensormatic Solutions, Black Friday (November 25), the Friday before Christmas (December 23) and the first day after Christmas (December 26) will be the busiest periods of the 2022 holiday season.

Sensormatic Solutions pointed out that Black Friday (November 25) will account for 40% of traffic in the 2022 holiday season, ranking first, followed by December 23 (Friday) and December 26 (Monday).

The following is Sensormatic Solutions' forecast for the peak shopping hours during the U.S. holiday season:

1. Friday, November 25th, Black Friday
2. Friday, December 23, the Friday before Christmas
3. Monday, December 26, the day after Christmas, also known as Boxing Day
4. Saturday, December 17, Super Saturday
5. Saturday, November 26, the day after Black Friday
6. December 10, the second Saturday in December
7. December 22, the Thursday before Christmas
8. December 3, the first Saturday in December
9. December 18, the Sunday before Christmas
10. December 21, the Wednesday before Christmas

Brian Field, global head of retail consulting and analysis at Sensormatic Solutions, said retailers will see an increase in orders during these periods, with customer demand significantly higher than normal. It is worth noting that the rising cost of living and weakened purchasing power of consumers will pose challenges to sales during this shopping season.

“Keeping up with demand, properly staffing, and adjusting operational strategies are critical to providing a satisfying customer experience during peak shopping periods. Consumer expectations for online shopping have reached new heights, and those expectations are likely to be even higher during the holiday season. Now is the time for retailers to start preparing for peak season,” said Kevin Viravec, president of Sensormatic Solutions.
