The report shows that in the first quarter of this year, 74% of American consumers said Amazon was their preferred online shopping platform, and Amazon continued to maintain its dominant position.

 

Although Amazon is still the leading e-commerce platform, for Amazon sellers, running an Amazon store is like participating in a long-distance marathon. Not only can you not see the finish line, but the journey is also full of thorns and surprises.

 

Some time ago, Amazon's sudden video verification swept most of the Amazon sellers. For sellers with multiple accounts or those who purchase accounts, video verification determines the survival of an account, making many sellers feel desperate. To this day, there are still sellers who have not passed and have triggered the second review or KYC.

 

However, it is not only sellers with old accounts who have to worry about video verification, but now new accounts registered by themselves also have to undergo video verification.

 

Even if the information is real, sellers still have to face problems such as long video verification appointment time, complicated appointment procedures, and strict video review . The huge obstacle of video verification has already discouraged a number of sellers.

 

Recently, some sellers reported that when making an appointment for video verification, an option appeared that required them to "go to the location designated by Amazon to meet for verification" , and they could only choose this option, that is, face-to-face verification with Amazon officials.

 

 

It is understood that there were three options for video verification before, namely "real-time video call", "verification at your company" and "meet at a designated location designated by Amazon for verification".

 

However, the seller said that currently the only option is to meet at the location designated by Amazon for verification, and the other two options both have the prompt "This method is not currently supported in your location."

 


It is understood that the seller is currently located in Dongguan, and sellers in other regions said that this situation has also occurred . So far, several sellers who are registering Amazon accounts have reported to customer service that they have encountered this situation.

 

When the seller contacted the customer service on the registration page to inquire whether the information about the need for an interview was true, the seller received a positive answer. This means that Amazon sellers can only go to the location specified by Amazon for verification. For sellers from other places, it not only takes time and energy, but also requires extra costs.

 

"It's really troublesome. I have to go to Amazon customer service for a chat before I can open a store."

 

 

It is understood that if the seller chooses to meet at a location designated by Amazon for verification, he will receive an email from Amazon informing the seller of the specific address and precautions for this verification.
