Shenzhen is the domestic base for cross-border e-commerce, and the increasingly high housing costs have put a lot of pressure on many sellers.
 
A seller living in Nanshan District said that he has been in the cross-border e-commerce industry for five or six years and has experienced ups and downs, but has not yet been able to gain a foothold in Shenzhen.
 
The rent has increased from 4,000 yuan to 4,500 yuan in half a year, and the monthly living expenses are at least 10,000 yuan. The high cost of living is accompanied by huge work pressure. The "Overdue Rent Collection Letter" circulating online shows that the big seller owed a total of 33,218.81 yuan in property rent, management fees, and water and electricity charges from February 1 to March 7, 2022, and failed to pay on time despite multiple collection requests.
 
For this reason, the property company warned the seller that if he failed to pay the outstanding fees before 16:00 on March 8, it would be deemed that he had automatically abandoned all his items and the items would be cleaned up as garbage, and his shop operating rights would also be revoked.
 
It is learned that there was also news that a certain big seller in Bantian had to give up the lease of an office of more than 4,000 square meters due to heavy losses caused by account blocking. If the gross profit of a single product reaches more than 25.00%, the individual will receive a bonus of 1% of the gross profit of the product, and the salary will increase accordingly.
 
Such a low base salary directly discouraged the seller, and calculating commission based on gross profit margin is unheard of. This is probably the so-called Amazon spirit of "earning $1,800 a month and laughing every day."

A seller revealed that his company's commission system will be modified as follows starting from 2022: 8 points commission for gross profit within 60,000 yuan, 10 points for 60,000-120,000 yuan, that is, the commission is calculated in a tiered manner, and the guaranteed gross profit is everyone's salary.
 
Example: A's salary is 10,000 yuan, and the gross profit for the month is 40,000 yuan. The commission is:
(40000-10000)*0.08=2400, the salary is: 10000 (not including social security yet) + 2400=12400
 
The seller said that the first three months were basic salary + commission. From the fourth month onwards, if A's salary was 10,000 and the gross profit for the month was 7,000, there would be no commission and the salary would be 7,000. If the gross profit was 100, there would be no commission and the salary would be 100. If the gross profit for the month was -1,000, there would be no commission and the salary would be 0.
 
This means that once the gross profit for a month is negative, not only will the commission be wasted, but even the basic salary will not be received. It can be said that it is a "battle with a heavy salary" and there is no retreat.
