Basic Introduction

The Amazon Marketplace Appstore will offer up to 100 apps from around the world. Indian sellers will be able to explore features including browsing apps from Amazon and third parties. Sellers will also be able to discover relevant solutions for their business, authorize data access, and complete their purchases. This will help reduce the time and effort sellers spend looking for the right solution for a specific need, such as finding a logistics partner, shipping provider, or sales analytics tool.

Eligibility

The App Store provides apps developed by Amazon itself and third-party developers using Amazon MWS. To ensure the quality and safety of apps, all third-party apps of merchants in the store need to be reviewed by Amazon. Currently, the store is officially open to sellers on the Amazon platform.

Developers can join and use the Marketplace Appstore for free, but before joining, they need to submit an application to Amazon, which will then review them.

Developer Standards

1. The developer must provide an existing application that is currently being used by Amazon sellers;

2. They must maintain a good reputation in the industry;

3. They must undergo Amazon’s business and practice review.

The Marketplace Appstore includes 12 modules, including listing management tools, automatic pricing tools, inventory and order management, delivery solutions, advertising tools, feedback and review acquisition tools, Amazon advertising adjustment tools, product analysis and research tools, store feedback and product review management tools, Amazon buyer and seller communication tools, account and tax calculation tools, and e-commerce overall solution tools.

Development History

In May 2018, Amazon launched a new app store, “Marketplace Appstore”, specifically designed to help sellers manage their listings and orders.

In August 2019, Amazon launched the Amazon Marketplace Appstore in India to help sellers automate, grow orders, and manage their businesses.
