Platform Introduction

Currently, the platform mainly sells different types of glasses, including sunglasses, contact lenses and prescription glasses, and the market is mainly in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The platform has all the well-known brands such as RayBan, Emporio Armani, Burberry, Persol, Fendi, Dolce&Gabbana, Prada, Nike and Lacoste.

Under the premise of ensuring quality, "eyewa" takes the pursuit of fashion as its main goal. Following the fashion trend, the company provides consumers with a variety of styles to choose from. During the entire purchase process, the company also provides customers with advanced customized consumer services. In addition, "eyewa" will be fully responsible from product ordering to packaging and delivery, so that consumers can feel satisfied.

Financing

In January 2018, Eyewa received a US$1.1 million angel round investment from Equitrust, an investment institution under Choueiri Group, one of the largest media groups in the Middle East.

In April 2019, Eyewa received US$7.5 million in Series A funding led by Wamda Capital, a well-known Middle Eastern venture capital firm, with participation from Equitrust, the investment arm of Choueiri Group, GS Shop, a South Korean online and multimedia retailer, venture capital firms French Partners, 500 Startups, Usus Al Khwarizmi, and Kuwait-based Faith Capital.

In August 2020, Eyewa received $2.5 million in Pre-B round of financing. Investors in this round of financing include venture capital firms Wamda Capital, EQ2 Ventures, and Nuwa Capital. The company intends to use the funds from the new round of financing mainly to rapidly expand its online eyewear business in the Middle East and North Africa, and to provide better solutions for buying glasses online by using innovative technologies. In addition, "eyewa" also wants to expand the company's product portfolio and improve its service quality to attract more consumers.
