PriceGrabber is a price comparison shopping website and distributed content commerce service founded in 1999 by former CEO Kamran Pourzanjani and Tamim Mourad.

PriceGrabber works with merchants, retailers, etc. to provide information on various products. PriceGrabber is the first comparison shopping engine that calculates tax and shipping cost information for consumers during the price comparison process.


PriceGrabber provides a broad product information platform for its partners, merchants, retailers and sellers. The company aggregates data sources from many other shopping sites, including: AOL, Bing Shopping, About's ConsumerSearch, iVillage, Comcast, Yahoo, MSN Shopping and CNET.


PriceGrabber also has a market research tool, Market Report, which helps retailers track consumer purchase data and product price trends. In addition, if sellers put their products on PriceGrabber, they can also appear on Yahoo Shopping.

Development History


-PriceGrabber was founded in 1999.


-In 2005, PriceGrabber was acquired by Experian for $485 million.


- In 2012, Experian agreed to sell PriceGrabber to Indian group Ybrant Digital. In October of the same year, Experian announced that it had completed the sale of PriceGrabber, LowerMyBILls and ClassesUSA.com to the company's management team for an undisclosed amount.


-In June 2015, Connexity (formerly Shopzilla) announced that it had acquired PriceGrabber, Inc. for an undisclosed amount.
