ShipHero, a US logistics provider, launches new features to improve delivery efficiency for online sellers

ShipHero, a U.S. logistics provider, has launched a new feature, PackShot, for third-party logistics (3PL) partners, aiming to provide full end-to-end transparency into the logistics supply chain and ultimately become a cost-effective solution for e-commerce brands.

Before printing a shipping label, a new button will appear in ShipHero's packing app, allowing warehouse packers to simply scan a barcode or click a button to take a photo of the package. If there are multiple packages in an order, PackShot will take a photo of each package.

Currently, PackShot is enabled in all ShipHero warehouses, and the order details after taking a photo can be viewed in the shipping section and shipping report of the ShipHero application. With the new PackShot feature, both ShipHero buyers and sellers can see very clearly how the product is packaged and leaves the warehouse before shipping.

This feature is currently available for all ShipHero brands and 3PL accounts.

It is reported that ShipHero's competitors can only take photos of the package when it arrives at the customer's door, which does nothing to solve the problems of the order before it is shipped. With the emergence of the PackShot feature, users will be able to see their package information accurately for the first time. This puts users and distribution centers on an equal playing field, which is not available in other logistics companies.

ShipHero also expressed its hope to provide PackShot functionality to more customers and third-party logistics companies in the future.
