Instagram expands product tagging to its entire user base

According to DataReportal, about 58.4% of the world's population uses social networks. Among many social media platforms, Instagram is constantly attracting new users, and recently Instagram announced that it will expand its product labeling function to its entire user base.

Currently, this feature is limited to content creators and brand users in the United States, but on April 11, Instagram also said that it will expand this new feature to the entire user base.

Instagram said the expansion of the product tagging feature to its entire user base is intended to "inspire" family, friends and acquaintances to "support the brands you love" and help others "discover new products they might like" through product tags in each user's environment. This also means that it has become easier to share products on Instagram.


How can Instagram hashtags help boost sales?

Use the tagging feature to search for brands when creating a post. After selecting, two tabs will appear at the bottom, one for brand and the other for product. Select the product you want to tag and finally click Finish Post. It should be noted that this feature is only enabled for public accounts.

When someone taps on your product tag in your post, they will be able to get more information about that product through the product detail page on Instagram. Users can then purchase the product directly in the app or through the brand’s product detail page.
