Record-breaking! This year's Black Friday e-commerce app downloads in Mexico reached 7 million!

According to data from AppsFlyer, a mobile attribution and marketing analytics platform, the number of downloads and installations of Mexican e-commerce apps hit a new high during this year's Black Friday.

Data from AppsFlyer shows that downloads of Mexican e-commerce apps increased by 34% during Black Friday in 2022 compared to 2021. The 24 e-commerce apps detected by AppsFlyer were downloaded as many as 7 million times on Black Friday.

AppsFlyer said that due to the high demand for consumption and the big discounts offered by retailers, Black Friday became the highest traffic event in Mexico in winter. AppsFlyer also emphasized that the download and installation volume of Mexican e-commerce apps on Black Friday increased by 99% compared with the previous seven weeks. In addition, Mexicans ranked third in the world in terms of purchasing intention during Black Friday, second only to Türkiye and Brazil.

It is worth mentioning that data from Google Trends shows that between November 22 and 28, 2021, 33.9% of online searches in Mexico were related to Black Friday.

On the other hand, according to Black-Friday.Global data, during this year's Black Friday, 49.5% of Mexican consumers chose omnichannel shopping, 27.5% chose physical store shopping, and 22.9% chose online shopping.

On average, Mexican consumers spent around 5,000 pesos (offline and online) during Black Friday, mainly buying clothing, electronics and shoes.
