There is a risk of fire! The Canadian Ministry of Health recalls Anker power banks!

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, on February 23, the Canadian Ministry of Health announced the recall of Anker 535 mobile power banks because the product may overheat and pose a fire safety risk.

Health Canada said: "This product, sold exclusively through Amazon.ca, is a portable power bank that is very compatible with mobile phones, tablets and laptops."

According to information released by Health Canada, only a "small portion" of the product may pose a fire risk, and as of February 13, 2023, there have been no reports of injuries or deaths from the use of the product.

It is understood that the recalled power banks were sold between October 2022 and January 2023. Among them, about 619 were sold in Canada.

"Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Anker 535 power banks and contact Anker customer support to receive a refund," Health Canada said.

Previously, Anker had issued an announcement that a small number of Anker535 power banks (Power Core 20K) A1366 may overheat and pose a fire safety risk, and the official will conduct a voluntary recall.

Anker said that users can confirm whether the product is within the recall scope by checking the name on the back of the power bank (see the picture below): 535 Power Bank (PowerCore 20K) and model: A1366.

It is learned that in addition to this recall, on February 23, the Canadian Ministry of Health also issued a recall notice for Cosori air fryers due to potential fire hazards.
