Development History

As early as 2012, Booking's parent company Priceline (not renamed at the time) began commercial cooperation with Ctrip.

In October 2017, Priceline invested US$450 million in Chinese Internet company Meituan Dianping and announced that it would fully integrate Agoda's overseas inventory.

In February 2018, the world's largest OTA Priceline Group announced that it would change its name to the holding company "Booking Holdings."

In July 2018, Didi also received a strategic investment of US$500 million from Booking Holdings. At the same time, Didi Chuxing also announced a strategic partnership with Booking Holdings. Through the cooperation, the App under Booking Holdings will also provide users with Didi's taxi service interface, and Didi's passengers will also be able to book hotel accommodation directly through Booking.com or Agoda platforms.
