No delivery during important holidays! Amazon and many other US companies announce suspension of operations

It is learned that on May 30, the United States will usher in Memorial Day. Americans will also suspend work and business activities on this holiday to commemorate the soldiers who died in the war.

On Memorial Day, most government offices, banks and many non-retail businesses, as well as express delivery companies such as the U.S. Postal Service, UPS, and FedEx, will be closed. E-commerce giant Amazon also announced that it will suspend FBA deliveries on this day.

On the holiday day, the U.S. Postal Service and Amazon reportedly announced a suspension of deliveries, as did most UPS and FedEx services.

Not only Memorial Day, but also many major holidays in the U.S. will suspend express delivery services. For example, the U.S. Postal Service will temporarily close services on almost all federal holidays, including New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, President's Day, Memorial Day, Children's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

A 2020 Morning Consult survey found that Americans trust the U.S. Postal Service more than any other delivery company in the country, with Amazon and Google ranking second and third, respectively.

Amazon offers a lot of deals on Memorial Day, but does not offer same-day delivery. Amazon usually stops delivering on these holidays, including Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

UPS and FedEx only deliver some items on Memorial Day, most UPS and FedEx employees are not working on the Memorial Day holiday, and both express delivery companies close most of their operations on the bank holiday.

According to UPS's 2022 holiday schedule, domestic, air and international services are closed, as are UPS stores and freight (air and sea). UPS expedited delivery will operate normally.
