Big news! Amazon warehouse workers will strike for a week!

Yesterday, Amazon officially announced that it will allow more products to create shipments and send them to Amazon's operations centers!

But I didn’t expect that the goods could be replenished, but it was “limited quantity”.

It is understood that Amazon is still continuing to give priority to the delivery of goods with higher demand, so shipments can be created at present, but some have quantity restrictions. These products will be marked with "limited replenishment".

This may also be related to the surge in orders, which has overwhelmed the warehouse staff.

Recently, as the COVID-19 outbreak worsens, conflicts between Amazon warehouse staff and the company have become increasingly acute. According to reports, as of April 19, more than 50 Amazon warehouses in the United States have reported cases of COVID-19 infection.

Just today, foreign media reported that Amazon warehouse employees plan to hold a "large-scale appeal" event this week, hoping to arouse the outside world's attention to the situation where they work during the epidemic but lack protective measures.

According to the employee rights organization United for Respect, more than 300 Amazon employees from at least 50 warehouses have signed on to join the campaign. It is reported that the demands of these employees include closing warehouses where the epidemic has occurred, providing testing and paid leave, and promising not to retaliate against protesting employees.

Employees involved in the event will strike across the United States starting on Tuesday and continuing throughout the week.

Although strikes are common abroad, if Amazon warehouse staff really go on strike, it will greatly affect cross-border sellers. After all, now that the shipping restrictions have finally been lifted, a large number of sellers are waiting to replenish and put goods on the shelves. If the warehouse staff go on strike, who will arrange the goods that have finally arrived to be put on the shelves?

I hope that my brother-in-law can handle the employees’ strike well and resume normal FBA processes as soon as possible!
