Amazon recalls more than 1 million products made in China!

According to foreign media reports, more than 1 million pressure washer spray guns sold at Lowe's and Amazon have been recalled due to connector failure because the spray gun connector has caused injuries to users. The pressure washer spray guns are all Greenworks and Powerworks brands.

It is reported that Chinese spray gun distributor Hong Kong Sun Rise Trading Ltd. has received 15 reports of damaged connectors on pressure washer spray guns.

The problem with this product is that the hoses and parts of the connector will fall off when under pressure during use.

The damage has resulted in 13 reported injuries, seven of whom are being treated for "concussion, broken bones and injuries to the eyes and mouth".

The spray guns were sold in stores nationwide and online at Lowe.com, Amazon.com and other online retailers from January 2017 to February 2021.

Plastic gun accessory kits retail for about $40, and pressure washers run between $100 and $180.

Affected Products:

The Greenworks Brand 2000 PSI Plastics Spray Gun Accessory Kit includes the Greenworks Brand 2000 PSI Plastics Pressure Washer Spray Gun;

Greenworks brand pressure washer models range from 1500-1800 psi (pounds per square inch) and some Powerworks brand pressure washer models range from 1700 to 1800 psi;

After removing the gun from the hose, the internal connector on the recalled unit is made of black plastic instead of metal.

Melting Temperature Attribute Will Soon Become a Required Step for ASINs

Amazon has announced a new policy requiring sellers to provide information about the melting temperatures of heat-sensitive items.

Amazon made the following announcement on Tuesday afternoon:

The melting temperature attribute will soon become a requirement for ASINs.

To help improve the customer experience, Amazon added a melting temperature attribute to ASINs.

Starting April 22, 2021, this property will be a mandatory step:

- New ASIN

- Update any attributes of all existing ASINs on the product information page

For meltable items such as chocolate, lip balm, and wax-based products, select "Yes" for heat-sensitive and provide information about the product's melting temperature.

Although melting temperature is currently an optional attribute, sellers are advised to update affected ASINs immediately so that it takes effect starting April 22.

One seller replied:

“Maybe a silly question, but if we don’t sell temperature-sensitive products, do we still need to put “no” for “thermal sensitivity”?”

Another seller said:

“The last thing any of us need is to have to manually edit each of our listings to note that they are not ‘temperature controlled’.

One seller expressed concern that any edit to any ASIN would require new attributes to be filled in, even for non-meltable products, and requested a response from Amazon.

Some sellers have been wary of the new requirements because of the way Amazon has handled its pesticide policy crackdown.
