Overview

Amazon has three main accounts: ve, vc, and sc.

Add new products to Amazon through Vendor Express. Products are sold on Amazon.com as “Sold by and ship from Amazon”, which is somewhat similar to JD.com’s self-operated supply platform. After uploading, products can obtain free A+ pages and optimize product content.

Account Advantages

• Free to join: Unlike 3P accounts, VE accounts have no monthly fees or commissions on products;

• Bulk orders: After the trial period, Amazon will usually purchase large orders as long as the product's sales ability can be proven;

• Sold by Amazon: Products of the VE account will be associated with the Amazon brand name, Sold by Amazon;

• Amazon is responsible for shipping services: Once you become a supplier, Amazon is responsible for the logistics of the product, free 2-day delivery service for Prime members, and free delivery for some non-member customers;

• Amazon is responsible for customer service: Amazon is responsible for customer service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;

• Allow access to AMS: The VE account has greater permissions to access Amazon Marketing Service. AMS allows users to access more powerful data reports, optimize content, and create advertisements.

Development History

Amazon launched a supplier platform in early 2015, mainly for domestic US corporate suppliers.

On March 12, 2018, Amazon said it would shut down its Vendor Express program. The company informed sellers via email that the program would stop accepting orders on May 21 and would be "permanently retired" starting January 1, 2019.

Reasons why VE was stopped

VE accounts maliciously copy and sell competitors and obtain editing rights;
VE accounts forcibly grab the listing pages of high BSR ranking products;
VE accounts frequently participate in promotional activities such as LD and BD for free;
VE accounts sell counterfeit products or even unauthorized counterfeit products of internationally renowned brands;
VE accounts conduct fake orders and fake reviews;
Overcoming the Brand Registry barrier through AMS accounts Large-scale advertising of counterfeit and substandard products through AMS accounts
