Basic Introduction

DTS: Days to ship The system sets the stocking time. In 2018, Shopee’s DTS requirement was 3 days, which was quietly changed to 2 days in early 2019.

DTS Settings

1. The preparation time can be set by the seller, 2 days or any number of days within 5-10 days;

Note: Products with a delivery time of any number of days between 5-10 days will be defined as pre-sale products; there should not be too many pre-sale products, as too many pre-sale products will affect your status as a preferred seller and will also affect natural traffic

2. Sellers can set the delivery time uniformly or for individual products.

Starting from December 23, 2019, for products with a DTS of more than 10 days, the system will batch modify their DTS to 10 days. If the product does require more than 10 days of stocking due to lengthy production processes or complex production techniques, the seller can contact the merchant manager to apply.

Specific rules

Weekends and holidays are not included in the delivery time, only working days are counted. For example: On July 21, 2019 (Sunday), the buyer completes the payment, and the order has a DTS = 2 days. The seller needs to complete the delivery on July 23, 2019 (Tuesday) (Saturday and Sunday are not included in the delivery time). For some statutory holidays, the Shopee platform will also issue corresponding notifications to delay the delivery time.

Short-term approach:

• Increase order volume – store discounts, coupons, bundled sales, keyword advertising, participating in events

• Avoid new NFR/LSR situations – ensure that orders are not late or cancelled

Long-term approach:

• Stocking up - Stable supply and timely delivery / stocking up in advance before the event

• Packaging - monitor the quality of packaging to reduce wrong shipments, missed shipments, over-materials and damaged parts

• Logistics - Track warehouse scanning status every day/select high-quality domestic logistics providers

• Products - Regularly evaluate the return and refund rate of suppliers’ goods, and select the best and eliminate the worst / regularly update product inventory
