What is CMA? CMA Review
CMA is the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). The Institute of Certified Management Accountants (IMA) is derived from the National Accounting Association (NAA) of the United States and has a history of 103 years . CMA , along with USCPA and CFA, is known as the three major gold certifications in the field of accounting in the United States and is recognized by corporate financial executives worldwide .

CMA represents the direction of accounting development. No matter you choose financial accounting, auditing, taxation, cost, budgeting, funding or other accounting modules, you will definitely enter the field of management accounting as your career develops, and it is very likely that you will eventually move to the *6 management level because of your fruitful work in the field of management accounting.

Courses

The CMA curriculum is relatively systematic and clear, divided into two parts, the first part is "Financial Reporting, Planning, Performance and Control", and the second part is "Financial Decision-making". The examination time is flexible, as long as you have finished studying and are confident of passing, you can make an appointment at any time. The average passing time is about one year.

Application conditions

1. Educational qualification restrictions

- Hold a three-year full-time college diploma recognized by the Ministry of Education

-Hold a bachelor's degree certificate recognized by the Ministry of Education

-Hold a master's degree certificate, a master's degree certificate, a doctoral degree certificate, or a doctoral degree certificate recognized by the Ministry of Education

- Hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate certified by the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants or an intermediate or senior accountant certificate (intermediate and senior accounting professional title certificate) certified by the National Accounting Qualification Evaluation Center; ACCA's fully qualified members meet the educational requirements of a CMA bachelor's degree (those who have only passed the examination but not obtained the certificate will not be accepted).

Special Notes:

Passing the CMA exam can exempt you from taking three ACCA courses.

(II) Work experience requirements

After passing the CMA exam, 2 years of finance-related work experience certification is required to obtain the CMA certification (the 2 years of work experience can be completed 7 years after passing the exam).

As soon as CMA was introduced to China in 2009, it was included in the national key talent training program by 16 major institutions including the Ministry of Finance, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Chinese Institute of Chief Accountants.
