It is learned that there are 13 days left until Thanksgiving. IRI released the shopping trends for Thanksgiving in the United States. The data shows that American consumers are planning for Thanksgiving earlier than ever before and purchasing various Thanksgiving-related products in advance.

IRI's Thanksgiving-related products, which include 25 major grocery categories, saw sales of these products increase 81% in October compared to the same period last year to $2.2 billion.

In the first three weeks of October, sales of Thanksgiving products increased by 63% year-on-year, compared with the historical growth of about 45% in previous years. The trend of sales surge accelerated rapidly in the last week of October, with sales increasing by 86% year-on-year, compared with the historical average of 54%.

It is learned that after the US supply chain got into trouble, a wave of stockpiling has been set off in the United States, and 34% of Americans said they are stockpiling products needed for Thanksgiving in case they cannot buy them next time. Sales data show that greeting cards, pies, baked products and beverages are the most popular. According to data from Brick Meets Click/Mercatus, the US online grocery market generated $8.1 billion in sales in October.
